NEWARK - Some Newark residents were able to take part in history today. The group boarded a bus early this morning to make the drive to attend President Obama's second inauguration.

Organized by the People’s Organization for Progress, a bus filled with 55 people headed to Washington to witness history in the making as President Barack Obama was sworn in for his second term.

The group had 11 buses make the trip four years ago, but organizers say due to the economy, money is tight this time around and not as many people could join.

The bus is returning this evening.
