Many residents in New Windsor will have limited water service today and are under a boil water notice.
Officials say that due to a leak repair/valve replacement, water service will be interrupted today until  4 p.m.
When water mains lose pressure, it increases the chances that untreated water and harmful bacteria can enter the system.
The affected areas include Vails Gate Heights Drive, Old Forge Hill Road, Mountain View Village, and Big V Plaza.
The boil water notice below will go into effect after the work is completed on Monday. They expect residents will need to boil water for the next 2-3 days until lab results are back.
