The present owner of the mansion where more than 100 animals were apparently found living in filth says he had no idea about the alleged animal cruelty occurring there when he purchased the home.
Real estate investor Michael Acciardi bought the Burning Hollow Road mansion last week at a sheriff?s auction. The bank had foreclosed on the home before it went to auction.
Philip Tamis and Cynthia Stewart-Tamis have been charged with 10 counts of animal cruelty for allegedly keeping more than 100 animals in filthy conditions at the residence.
Acciardi also lives next to the mansion and is angry about the developments in the case.
