A Jersey girl will soon have the chance to play a fairy tale princess.
Clifton native Rachel Zegler has been cast as Snow White in Disney’s live-action remake of its 1937 animated classic.
At just 20 years old, Zegler will be making her big screen debut later this year as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of “West Side Story.
Zegler is already familiar with that role. She played Maria in a Bergen Performing Arts Center production of “West Side Story” in 2017.
Production on “Snow White” is expected to begin in 2022, according to Deadline.
