Some New Jersey mayors with large malls or shopping centers in their town are asking Gov. Phil Murphy to reopen them.

The mayors are hoping it could happen in phase two of restarting the state economy, which begins Monday.
The mayors say keeping such facilities closed negatively affects a host town’s economy.
Included were mayors from towns such as Elizabeth and Paramus, among others.
