New Jersey was fortunate over the last three days, remaining free from any serious property damage and avoiding major flooding from the storm.
Still, New Jersey was hit with high tides that tested the dune systems along the shoreline in Monmouth County.
This weekend, Barnegat was still experiencing flooding in parking lots and in one extreme case, a home in Wildwood was lost to rising water and wind.
South Carolina, however, was hit with a record amount of flooding. Some areas of South Carolina had 20 to 24 inches of rain.
Berkeley County took on 18 inches of rain in a 24-hour period, which lead to major flooding.
Floodwaters there rose to nearly the tops of cars parked on streets. Boats had to rescue people from their homes.
Forecasters in South Carolina are saying the rain will continue. They say another eight to 10 more inches of rain is expected to fall.
