There are roughly 61,000 homes without power who receive service from JCP&L in the county. Randolph has the most with nearly 6,000. Some neighbors say they've been told it could take as long as until Monday for their power to be restored.
"We lived through Hurricane Irene and the winter snowstorm and Hurricane Sandy and each one of those left us a week without power,” says Linda Omaggio, of Morris Township. “So, we opted for the whole house generator, which makes things very comfortable, unless a tree falls on it and disables it."
Downed trees remain, but most have been removed from the streets as the cleanup continues.
