Mild, passing showers Monday in New Jersey; ‘sneaky snow’ possible Tuesday

NEW: A few showers are possible Monday night with even some mix possible in northwest NJ. A very minor event, but will start a downward trend in temperatures as we finish off the month of January.
NEXT: Temperatures will take a tumble as we go into the first week of February. Highs will be in the 30s with possible morning lows in the teens and 20s. Even some snow showers or flurries are possible Tuesday through Thursday and again into the weekend. Frigid wind chills and brisk, blustery winds are also possible heading into the first weekend of February.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with sprinkles in the morning, and then again possible after sunset into the overnight. Some mix is possible overnight in northwest NJ. Highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy with a flurry or two. Highs near 40 and lows in the 20s. Gusty winds up to 25 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Sun and clouds with highs around freezing and lows in the 20s.
GROUNDHOG DAY - THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with highs around 40 and lows in the 20s. Chance of a sprinkle or snowflake.
INTO THE WEEKEND: Much colder with highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits and teens. Frigid wind chills and blustery, brisk wind gusts possible.
