Midland Park postal worker charged in deadly hit-and-run
A Midland Park post office worker has been indicted for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident and leaving a pedestrian to die.
The Record reports that Rafael Ramos is accused of fleeing West Ridgewood Avenue after he struck and killed a 54-year-old man at a busy Ridgewood intersection in September.
News 12 is told that Ramos returned to the scene to talk to police, but left without telling them that he was the driver. 
The 47-year-old is being charged with third-degree assault and leaving the scene of a deadly crash.
