Mayor says city will expand select bus service

Mayor Bill de Blasio promised Friday to expand select bus service all around the city.
The mayor said there will be 21 new routes added over the next 10 years.
Select bus service runs on dedicated lanes and people pay their fares before boarding. De Blasio said the service is really working for riders and that more New Yorkers should have the opportunity to take advantage of it.
The city plans to add select bus service to Gun Hill Road, University Avenue and Tremont Avenue. There are also plans for routes from Broadway to Central Bronx, Harlem to Southern Boulevard and Soundview to Washington Heights.
