4h agoA man seen on video being punched in the head by a Camden County police officer has reached a $300,000 settlement.
Edward Minguela’s story was part of the Kane In Your Corner investigation “The Defunding Debate.” Minguela was arrested in 2018.
The video showed that he put his hands up, but officers threw him down. Officer Nicholas Romantino is seen punching Minguela in the back of the head a dozen times. Romantino later resigned from the force.
The county said that it was in the process of terminating him.
