A man was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning outside a warehouse in Elizabeth, officials said.

Police said the fatal accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on York Street in front of the Wakefern Food Corporation warehouse.

The driver of the vehicle involved was not hurt and remained at the scene, authorities said.

Wakefern employee George Lucas told News 12 New Jersey that he and others have to cross the street to get to work and said it's always very dangerous. 

No additional details were immediately available.
