(AP) - Police say a man has been fatally stabbed atthe main intersection of Newark's bustling downtown. Newark police say a man in his early 20s was stabbed, sufferinga severe laceration to the neck.

(AP) - Police say a man has been fatally stabbed atthe main intersection of Newark's bustling downtown.
Newark police say a man in his early 20s was stabbed, sufferinga severe laceration to the neck. The man, whom police have notidentified, was rushed to University Hospital in Newark where hedied a short time later.
The stabbing took place in front of a clothing store at theintersection of Broad and Market streets shortly before 3:30 p.m.Tuesday.
It was unclear if there were any other injuries or how manypeople were involved.
Police closed off the downtown intersection for about 20 minutesat the beginning of the evening commute, snarling traffic.
