Authorities: Juvenile arrested in connection to Memorial Day stabbing in Ocean City

The suspect is being held in a juvenile detention facility pending court proceedings, and is facing attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges.

A juvenile was arrested Tuesday in connection to a stabbing on the Ocean City boardwalk on Memorial Day weekend, according to Cape May County prosecutors and Ocean City police.
Prosecutors say the Ocean City Police Department received a 911 call around 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 regarding an assault which took place on the boardwalk. They say a group of juveniles engaged in a mutual fight resulting in a juvenile victim sustaining lacerations and a stab wound to the abdomen.
The victim was transported to Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Division, and was treated for his injuries.
The juvenile, whose name must be withheld, was located and taken into custody in Pleasantville on Tuesday. The suspect is being held in a juvenile detention facility pending court proceedings, and is facing attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges.
