‘Just sitting at home with no power’: Morris Township residents not expecting power back until at least 2 weeks

Residents in Morris County remain without power, and some neighbors in Morris Township say they're not expecting to get power until about two weeks from now.

Residents in Morris County remain without power, and some neighbors in Morris Township say they're not expecting to get power until about two weeks from now.

Power went out Tuesday around noon. One neighbor, Bernadette Brutans, says she's not even living off a generator and has had to work from home to begin with.
"Just sitting at home with no power,” says Bernadette Brutans. “Relying on a battery from the phone with the charger. Just trying to see if I can get a hotel somewhere possibly for the next four or five days.
 
Brutans says she heard a crack Tuesday around 12:30 p.m., and that's when a branch came crashing down.
Downed trees are making it dangerous to drive around. A number of streets are still closed.
Just around Skyline Drive in Morris Township, about 100-500 are without power in the neighborhood alone.
The Morris County OEM says at least 122,000 people in the area remain without power.
