Popular department and convenience store Hand's on Long Beach Island will close this spring after 70 years in business.

The store is located at 1310 Long Beach Blvd. in Beach Haven.

According to reports, the owner of the store is retiring and sold the property. The store is reportedly trying to sell everything before closing.

Reports say the store is expected to close its doors in April, but no official date has been set.

Hand's sells clothing, home décor, hardware, toys, furniture, games and more in addition to beach essentials.

The store was founded back in 1952.
