Jean Paul Rodriguez arrested in fatal stabbing of girlfriend Tynasha Robinson at Bronx River Houses

A 21-year-old woman is dead following a domestic dispute at the Bronx River Houses.
According to police, Tynasha Robinson was stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso by her 26-year-old boyfriend, Jean Paul Rodriguez. They say he was found with two knives on the sixth floor of 1609 East 174th St. Thursday night.
Rodriguez barricaded himself inside an apartment for about two hours. He also threatened to blow up the building, which led Con Edison crews to shut off the gas and evacuate some tenants.
Rodriguez was eventually taken into custody. He's being charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Today would have been Robinson's 22nd birthday.
