The Cranford Theater teamed up with the town to make it happen. Workers set up a 40-foot screen in the municipal pool parking lot.
Tickets for tonight's showing sold out in just nine minutes.
"The excitement that we've seen from the township and the residents and visitors into Cranford has been unbelievable,” says Doreen Savegh, owner of Cranford theater. “It's been the fuel to keep this engine running and getting us to where we need to be."

The theater will show Grease again Friday and Back to the Future on Saturday.
Concessions will be sold and delivered to the cars by movie ushers.
