Human remains found at Ground Zero spark new round of controversy
Construction continues for a 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero despite the knowledge that a lot of those being memorialized have yet to be laid to rest. The recent discovery of human remains by Con Edison crews at the World Trade Center site has sparked anger among families of the unidentified victims of September 11. The families are charging that the city mishandled search procedures in a rush to clean up the area following the attacks. One group is suing the city of New York and is asking for the federal government to step in.Mayor Bloomberg (R-NY) says he will re-launch search efforts but acknowledges that it is unlikely they will ever identify all of the victims of 9/11.
