The Hudson Regional Hospital hosted an event, Breasts and Brunch, in Secaucus on Sunday.

Community members were invited to take part in a panel with experts and survivors.

Doctors were available at the event, providing free breast exams.

Organizers say the goal is to remind community members the importance of early detection when it comes to prevention and treatment.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month through the end of the October.
