A Hudson County road inspector has pleaded guilty
to asking for and accepting bribes.
Authorities say Barry Smith received a cash payment
to get rid of any violations he issued regarding a construction project in
Bayonne.
Smith is set to be sentenced in January.
The state is asking for a three-year prison
sentence.
