Contact tracing efforts linked some of Hoboken's COVID-19 cases to local bars and restaurants.
The city made the decision to temporarily close bars and restaurants at midnight to help stop the spread.
Hoboken reported 17 new cases Thursday, which is the highest one-day total since the end of April.
