Firefighters in Hoboken are asking the city to hire more firefighters following a massive fire on Washington Street last week.
Firefighters say in a letter printed in the Hoboken Reporter that they could only provide 14 firefighters to battle the flames. They say that two other companies had previously been called out to assist fighting fires in Jersey City.
The firefighters say it was luck that no one was injured or killed battling the massive eight-condo fire.
Witnesses say a number of trucks from Newark and other municipalities were assisting in fighting the flames.
