HEAT ALERT: Possible wet weather overnight before sunny, hot conditions return for Thursday

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says wet weather will stick overnight and into tomorrow morning before sunshine returns.

Showers likely moving thru the region later tonight after 9 p.m. Maybe some brief downpours but that's all.
The passing storms will allow the heat and humidity to go on a short hiatus.
Thursday is a delightful summer day. Not as humid but still plenty warm and the skies filled with sun and some clouds.
Rain returns Friday. Could be a wash out of a day.
Scattered showers linger into early Saturday then the weather improves.
Lots of sun for Sunday and the heat and humidity make another return to the region for next week.
The National Weather Services recommends drinking plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
When outside, take extra precautions, like wearing lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
