Monday was the deadline for health care workers to get their COVID-19 booster shots in New Jersey.
Hospitals, nursing homes and other health care centers can begin terminating employees who have not
gotten their COVID-19 booster shots as of today.
Hospital executives are asking Gov. Phil Murphy
to postpone the deadline for all health
care workers to receive a COVID-19 booster
shot for a 90-day extension.
It could affect tens of thousands of employees
who have yet to receive their boosters.
