Harness racing has returned to the racetrack at the Meadowlands. Tonight was opening night for the first races ever run as a private business, after a year of negotiations for new chair and owner Jeff Gural.

Gural says that he thinks its clear casinos are coming to New York state, and that when that happens, he says it's going to be very hard for the casino Industry in Atlantic City to argue that there shouldn't be a casino at the Meadowlands.
