Hair salon owners are preparing for new safety protocols to put into place ahead of the June 22 reopenings.

Panico Hair Salon owner Jack Panico says that business will be conducted differently once the Ridgewood salon reopens. He says that he is installing plastic partitions between cutting stations and that there will not be a waiting area.

Panico says that the pandemic brought on some uncertainty.

“The biggest problem was the unknown and not knowing the answers of when we would reopen. Keeping everybody safe and healthy,” he says.

Panico says that new sanitation standards will also be put into place.
