The police union in Hackensack says it is concerned with the leadership at the police department.

The Hackensack PBA voted no confidence against Police Director Ray Guidetti and Operations Capt. Michael Antista.

The union says the vote made at Monday's PBA meeting reflects deep concerns about the current state of the city's police department and its management.

Hackensack has been without a police chief since 2011 when former chief Ken Zisa was indicted. The union voiced their concerns over previous assessments of the department's leadership.

“The city's avoidance in appointing a new police chief and the continued politicization of our department have significantly impacted the morale and effectiveness of the police department. These actions not only affect those serving in the department but also undermine the safety and trust of the Hackensack community we are sworn to protect,” the PBA said in a statement.

News 12 New Jersey reached out to both Guidetti and Antista for comment.
