A non-profit group based in Brick wants to help rebuild a home for a family, but it is asking the public to pitch in.

A fire in March destroyed the Mulvihill family?s home. Since that time, the single mother has been raising her two sons, one of whom is autistic, in a two-bedroom apartment. Mulvihill says her son can?t relax because he needs his things in his own room and his own space.

Members of the Wheels for Charity Foundation heard the Mulvilhills story and wanted to build them a new home. The group got Penn Lyon Home Corporation, of Pennsylvania, to donate a modular home and Modern Homes, of Toms River, to put the home together.

However, the group says it needs skilled volunteers to donate their time. Group members say they need a demolition group to knock down what?s left of the old home, a mason to build the foundation, an architect, plumbers, electricians and landscapers.

The group hopes to have the Mulvilhills inside their new home by Christmas.
