Gov. Murphy: 354 new positive COVID-19 cases confirmed; 28 additional deaths

Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Twitter Thursday that 354 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the state, along with 28 additional deaths.

Gov. Phil Murphy announced on Twitter Thursday that 354 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the state, along with 28 additional deaths.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the state now stands at 174,270 since March 4. The statewide death toll now stands at 13,501.
Murphy also said that there are currently 963 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 170 patients in either critical or intensive care. Over 100 patients are on a ventilator.

The governor also continued to urge all New Jerseyans to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. Murphy on Wednesday issued a new order that people must wear masks outside if social distancing is not possible.
People who violate this order could face fines or jail time.
