A group of middle school kids in Westport is providing shoes to those less fortunate.

The Give a Kick fundraiser consists of a trio of seventh graders from Weston Middle School. Jake, Jonah, and TJ tell News 12 that collecting shoes for those less fortunate has brought in far more than they were expecting. They say that they got double their goal on the first day, collecting more than 90 pairs of shoes.

The trio credits their success to an Instagram account that has been a hit with local moms.

The group will be collecting more shoes on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Sky Zone in Norwalk.
