The New York Giants have been missing their star running back, Saquon Barkley, for the last three games with a high ankle sprain, but his return seems imminent.
Barkley was a full participant in practice this week, despite being a little tight-lipped.

“I feel pretty good, I'm taking it day by day this week in practice obviously, you guys know I've been fully participating, but just take it day by day and hopefully be out there for my teammates,” says Barkley.
While Barkley says he feels healthy, it's ultimately up to the coaches and team trainers on what his role will be Sunday.
“Last week I was taking reps individually and I was running routes but it's different when you have to react and make cuts going against the scout team and going against the defense so that's the biggest difference,” says Barkley. “I'm actually practicing this week and I get to feel making those cuts and preparing myself for the game.”

Barkley's injury came in Week 3 against Tampa Bay, the same game Daniel Jones earned his first start.
Even though the two have had limited playing time together, Barkley says he'll be an asset for the rookie quarterback.

“I think you've got to account for another person when I'm playing I think that's what I bring to the game and I think that's how I can not only help Daniel but help the team and I know I just have to keep the team mindset that whatever role I need to be doing to help the team win I'm willing to do,” says Barkley.

As for the rest of the Giants injury report –
Tight end Evan Engram was a full participant this week, coming off a knee injury, and wide receiver Sterling Shepard was limited as he continues with concussion protocol.
The Giants and Cardinals kickoff at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford Sunday at 1 p.m.
