While many drivers never imagined paying $3 a gallon to gas up their vehicles, AAA representatives say residents are now shuffling to gas stations with little fuss. According to a spokesperson for AAA, driving habits among New Jersey motorists hasn?t changed much in the face of rising gas prices. Some speculate residents are simply getting used to the price at the pump.

While the clamor may have died down, some concerns about the environment and conservation have not. AAA representatives say the lack of recent complaining about gas prices indicates the spike has not motivated more people to carpool. According to analysts, drivers still remain fiercely independent when it comes to getting behind the wheel.
