Funeral held for beloved teacher killed in hit-and-run crash

Students, family members and friends gathered to mourn the loss of a beloved Englewood teacher killed in a hit-and-run crash in Dumont last week.

Students, family members and friends are mourning the loss of 54-year-old Elizabeth Feliciano-Rosa.
She was the victim of a hit-and-run collision last Thursday in Dumont.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Volk-Leber Funeral Homes in Bergen County.
Police directed traffic as hundreds of people came to pay their respects.
It was last Thursday when Feliciano-Rosa was identified as the victim in the deadly hit-and-run at the intersection of Washington and Madison Avenues in Dumont.
Ernest Hoffman, 94, was charged Friday with leaving the scene of an accident-- and other charges by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Since then, the Englewood School District - where Rosa taught for nearly 20 years - sent a message out to the community, stating, "her passion for education was palpable and her commitment to her craft unparalleled."
Rosa leaves behind her husband, Henry, three daughters and two grandchildren.
