Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop says that the city has come to resolution of where to move a World War II statue honoring Polish POWs.

The Katyn Memorial will be relocated to the foot of York Street on the Hudson River. City officials say that the statue needed to be moved from Exchange Place at the Jersey City waterfront because the area is being turned into a park.

But the decision angered Polish-Americans and even the president of Poland himself. Polish lawmakers and advocacy groups sued the city.

Fulop says that he met with senior officials from the Polish movement and came to the compromise with the Katyn Forest Massacre Memorial Committee.
