Many people chose to stay indoors Friday as freezing temperatures gripped the Garden State. Roosevelt Park in Edison was empty as the whipping winds made it feel like temperatures were in the single digits. While some say they were not prepared for the icy blast, others say cold weather should be expected this time of year. While most residents stayed indoors, others braved the cold to tackle their holiday shopping lists.
