Fire departments around New Jersey are reminding people who live near fire hydrants to clear away the snow that has accumulated around them so that firefighters can have easy access.

Fire departments around New Jersey are reminding people who live near fire hydrants to clear away the snow that has accumulated around them so that firefighters can have easy access.
The Denville Fire Department sent out a reminder that said, “The Denville Fire Department would like to remind everyone to shovel out their neighborhood fire hydrant. This little act of kindness can not only save time during a fire, but save lives.”
A News 12 New Jersey crew saw a firefighter in Nutley doing his part by clearing away snow from one of the fire hydrants in that town.
