A large fire broke out at the King Court condo complex in Green Brook early Friday morning.
Up to eight units were affected, and around 16 people have been displaced.
"Somehow I woke up and saw light," says resident Alan Turla. "I tried to check it out, saw flames on the right, grabbed my family and ran downstairs."
No injuries have been reported, and there is no word yet on a cause.
According to the fire chief, everyone made it out, and the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross is assisting seven people from three families.
