Fire destroys historic landmark hotel in Warren Co.
A historic landmark hotel in Warren County was destroyed by fire Thursday night.
The old St. Cloud Hotel on West Washington Avenue in Washington Borough was used as a boarding house in its present incarnation, but its history dates back to the late 1800s. The hotel used to be a stopover for hungry, weary travelers.
The building was reduced to rubble and ashes in the blaze. There is no word on what caused the fire. No one was injured. Those living inside the boarding house are being relocated by the Red Cross.
