Firefighters protected an Island Heights home from disaster after a car broke into flames overnight Tuesday and spread to the structure.
Fire crews responded to a fire on Lake Avenue that started in a vehicle attached to a construction trailer at 2:20 a.m., fire officials wrote on Facebook.
Crews worked quickly to prevent the spread of the fire, successfully protecting the home and the construction trailer, which sustained no damage.
