EDISON - With the Super Bowl less than two weeks away, many New Jersey residents are sick and tired of playing second-fiddle to New York.

Some New Jersey residents are complaining that everyone outside of the state is calling the big game "New York's Super Bowl." They say the official program predominately features the New York City skyline, with a glimpse of what appears to be Hudson County.

They say it's especially annoying because New Jersey isn't just hosting the game; both teams are staying in Jersey City hotels.

"I'm not sure if it was the 'New Jersey Bowl,' it would get as much attention because New Jersey isn't as big and glamorous as New York City," says Eric Cottle, of Jersey City.

However, Jim Kirkos, who heads the Meadowlands Regional Chamber, says if it wasn't for New York City being so close, New Jersey may have never gotten a Super Bowl in the first place.

"It does it hurt our egos a little, but in the end, we know there will be a really good economic impact and we'll try to make the best of it," Kirkos says.
