SAYREVILLE - Volunteers visited two Middlesex County towns Monday to help residents in their recovery from Superstorm Sandy.

Members of World Renew's Disaster Response Services team went door-to-door in Sayreville and South River.

They surveyed residents to see what work they still need done on their homes nine months after the storm hit.

Dennis Stoel, a volunteer from Michigan, says the group plans to make good on promises to help.

"Eventually, we'll bring construction teams in to do volunteer work to repair houses that people can't afford to have," Stoel says.

The group will be surveying in South Amboy and Woodbridge later this week.
