MONMOUTH BEACH - Two Monmouth County elementary schools reopened to students and staff this morning eight months after Sandy hit.

Union Beach Memorial and Monmouth Beach elementary schools reopened today after Sandy flooded their buildings. More than 2 feet of water filled Monmouth Beach Elementary School after Sandy struck. Now, Superintendent Brian Farrell says the building is completely redone.

Parents and students say it's great to be back home.
