UNION BEACH - A firefighter considered a hero for helping to save 60 people in Union Beach from floodwaters is getting a new home for his family.
Casey Calmon,19, suffered hypothermia working for his community during the storm, which destroyed his home. His parents, Sue and George Calmon, finally received their new modular home.
The home, which is among the first in the neighborhood to go up on pilings, is nearly finished inside. The Calmons say they are committed to the Union Beach community and are proud to be moving back.
