The Starland Ballroom opened in 2003, and since then, it's been flooded on three different occasions. Superstorm Sandy dumped 6 feet of water into the venue and it was destroyed.

General manager Colin Conway says the reopening was a major step for the community. "It's not only a new chapter for the Starland Ballroom, but also for the people of Sayreville, so we're happy to be back online."
