SPRING LAKE - Construction delays due to Sandy recovery efforts continue along the oceanfront in Spring Lake.

Spring Lake planned to build a pavilion and pool before the superstorm struck. It was expected to be completed before the summer .

But due to damage of the boardwalk, the borough had to change plans and focus its energy on repairing the boardwalk.

"We're struggling with one pool here but it makes us enjoy nature a little bit more and we're looking forward to the pool next year," says Aphrodite Tsairis, of Spring Lake.

Construction will also leave only one lane heading northbound open on Ocean Avenue from Washington to Brighton Avenue while a large crane works on the new North Pavilion.

The North Pavilion is scheduled for completion before next summer.
