SEA BRIGHT - The Town of Sea Bright is still struggling to recover seven and a half months after Sandy, and some businesses have chosen not to reopen this summer.
Margaret Gilbertson of McLoone's Restaurants says the owners put their resources into the restaurants that they felt were more easily salvageable and chose not to rebuild the original McLoone's this year.
"As time went on, we finally realized nothing can happen this year in the way we want it to," Gilbertson says. "So, we'd rather come back stronger than ever."

McLoone's Rum Runner will likely have to be demolished before it is rebuilt.
Many of the other businesses along Ocean Avenue have made the same choice, or may have decided not to come back at all.
But some have worked hard to be up and running for the summer crowd. Workers at Sea Bright Pizzeria hope to be done with rebuilding their restaurant in a few weeks.
Mayor Dina Long says she cannot predict when recovery will be complete, only that it will happen.
