LITTLE EGG HARBOR - Many homes in Little Egg Harbor appear empty, but township officials say they're unsure exactly how many abandoned homes there are to date.

The Governor's Office of Recovery and Rebuilding is now asking the township to put together an updated list.

Residents say there appears to be more and more abandoned houses to put on that list.

"If you drive around at night you'll see there's not a light lit and it's kinda scary," says Little Egg Harbor resident Christine Decendis.

The township says 5,000 homes had substantial damage from Sandy.
