JERSEY CITY - A Jersey City couple is finally able to repair damage to their home from Superstorm Sandy after 11 months of waiting.
The home of June and Gary Caporale has been put on the fast track for repairs thanks to nonprofit Rebuilding Together Jersey City and volunteers from the Philips Corporation.
The retired couple lost everything during the storm, and have dealt with an expensive and slow process trying to renovate and rebuild.

The couple lived in the home for more than three decades. They say they had no flood insurance because their home was not in a flood zone. During Sandy, 8 feet of water knocked down their garage door and flooded the first floor of their home.
