LIBERTY STATE PARK - Superstorm Sandy devastated Liberty Island, flooding about 75 percent of the island and destroying the infrastructure.

Liberty herself remained, and temporary fixes to heating, air conditioning and electrical systems made it possible for the monument to reopen on July 4.

More permanent renovations are still in the works that will make the island more resilient against future storms.

Eric Landskroner reports from Liberty State Park, taking a look at how the community is recovering, and talking about the progress being made in rebuilding what Sandy took away.
